Definition and main ingredients
Graphite packing is mainly made of various reinforced fibers, metal wires (steel wire, copper wire, nickel wire, carbon fiber, pre-oxidized wire, glass yarn) and other reinforced graphite wires as raw materials. It is a unique universal sealing packing.

Types
Graphite packing has three types: dense crystalline, flake graphite, and cryptocrystalline graphite packing. In practice, these three types of graphite are widely used.

Specifications
The common specifications are 3×3mm - 50×50mm, and 3×3mm - 100×100mm are also mentioned. Special specifications or various non-standard products can be made according to customer requirements.

Application industries and equipment

Mechanical properties
High strength: The fibrous structure of graphite packing is fine and dense, and it has high strength. It can be reinforced as needed, such as adding metal wire or carbon fiber, to further improve its compressive strength and protect the shaft.

Good flexibility:
The graphite packing is made of flexible graphite wire and woven through the core, which makes it very soft and can better adapt to the sealing requirements of different equipment.

Thermal performance
High temperature resistance: The graphite packing has excellent high temperature resistance and can withstand different temperatures in different environments. It can withstand 1650°C in a non-oxidizing environment, 450°C in an oxidizing environment, and -204°C in a low temperature environment. There are also data showing that its operating temperature range is -100~800°C or -100~850°C.
Good thermal conductivity: It has good thermal conductivity and can dissipate the heat generated in the sealing part in time to avoid damage to the equipment and sealing materials due to heat accumulation

Chemical properties
Corrosion resistance: Except for a few strong oxidants, it can resist the erosion of a variety of highly corrosive media, can be used to seal corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, and is suitable for a variety of media environments such as the chemical industry.
Chemical stability: It can maintain stable chemical properties in various chemical media and will not react chemically with the media, thus ensuring the long-term stability of its sealing performance.

Friction performance
It has good self-lubrication and a small friction coefficient. In dynamic sealing applications, it can reduce the friction between the seal and the shaft, reduce energy consumption, and extend the service life of equipment and sealing materials.

Sealing performance
Graphite packing has good sealing properties and is suitable for dynamic and static sealing under high temperature and high pressure conditions. In valve applications, it can meet the valve's requirements for airtightness and effectively prevent medium leakage.
